Code of Conduct & Ethics
We're committed to a high standard of ethical conduct and professional integrity: the expected behaviors that keep our workplace built on trust, respect, and compliance with the law.
Conflict of interest
- Financial interests: avoid business or financial dealings that could influence your judgment on behalf of the company. Disclose any potential conflicts to your manager or People & Culture immediately.
- Gifts and entertainment: don't accept gifts or entertainment from clients, vendors, or partners that could be perceived as an attempt to influence business decisions.
Outside employment and activities
- Freelancing is permitted outside of working hours, provided it doesn't conflict with your job duties, compete with Progressio's products or services, use company resources or confidential information, or hurt your performance or scheduling. Disclose any freelance work to your manager.
- External duties during work hours: personal errands, side businesses, or other external duties must happen strictly outside of working hours.
Employment of relatives
Not prohibited, but employing close relatives (spouses, children, parents) can create potential conflicts of interest.
- Disclose any existing or potential employment of close relatives to People & Culture.
- To minimize bias, employees should not supervise or have direct reporting lines to close relatives.
Employee relationships
- All romantic or intimate relationships between employees must be conducted professionally and respectfully.
- If a relationship develops between coworkers with a reporting or supervisory line, one individual may need to be transferred to avoid a conflict of interest, decided case-by-case.
Working with clients as a side job
Employees are strictly prohibited from working with clients they interact with in their official capacity at the company, to protect confidential information and avoid conflicts of interest.
Use of company resources
Company resources (equipment, software, technology) are for work-related purposes. Personal use should be limited and must not interfere with your job duties.
Maintaining a respectful workplace
We're committed to a positive, professional environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and productive: for employees, visitors, and clients alike.
Respectful interactions
- Professional communication: engage courteously and respectfully, verbally and electronically. Strictly avoid gossip, negativity, and personal attacks.
- Teamwork: embrace collaboration, be mindful of deadlines, and offer help when needed.
- Accommodating differences: respect individual preferences, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds.
Noise & focus
- Be mindful of noise levels in open workspace areas. Use headphones for personal calls or music.
- Conduct meetings and extended calls in designated rooms or booths. Use speakerphones only when necessary, in private spaces.
- Respect colleagues' need for quiet, uninterrupted focus time. Briefly assess whether your question is urgent or can wait.
Workspace & company image
- Keep your workspace and common areas clean and organized; report maintenance issues promptly.
- Treat shared resources and equipment with respect; don't use colleagues' belongings without permission.
- Dress appropriately per the Dress Code, and be mindful of what you post publicly about Progressio, clients, or colleagues.
- Strictly maintain confidentiality of company information, internal operations, and intellectual property.
- Many people are sensitive to strong fragrances. Avoid overpowering perfumes or scented products, and store/consume food in designated areas.
Reporting violations
Report any suspected violations of this Code of Conduct to your direct manager or the People & Culture department. All reports are investigated confidentially. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
This policy provides general guidelines and may not address every situation. Use sound judgment, and ask People & Culture when you need clarification.
